SEOUL, Yonhap News — The fusion historical drama Check-in Hanyang, set in a fictional Joseon-era inn and depicting the friendship and romance of youth, concluded its run with ratings in the 4% range.
According to Nielsen Korea on the 10th, the final episode of Channel A’s Check-in Hanyang, which aired the previous evening, recorded 4.2% nationwide viewership, marking the drama’s personal best.
This also represents the highest ratings ever achieved by a Channel A Saturday-Sunday drama.
Check-in Hanyang follows the story of the so-called “Hao-na Four”—Lee Eun-ho (Bae In-hyuk), Hong Deok-su (Kim Ji-eun), Chun Jun-hwa (Jung Gun-joo), and Go Soo-ra (Park Jae-chan)—who all enter Joseon’s largest inn, Yongcheonru, each with different motivations.
As they take on various tests to become official attendants, the four build genuine friendships and grow into true colleagues, transcending class and wealth.
The final episode depicts the four leaving Yongcheonru and beginning a new chapter as they open an inn of their own.
Meanwhile, the KBS2 weekend drama Please Take Care of the Eagle Five! starring Ahn Jae-wook and Uhm Ji-won topped weekend broadcasts overall with its 4th episode, posting a 19.3% viewership rating.
