Actors Ok Taec-yeon and Won Ji-an have officially joined KBS 2TV’s new Monday–Tuesday drama Heartbeat, promising an unexpected and irresistible chemistry never seen before.

Heartbeat (directed by Lee Hyun-seok, Lee Min-soo / written by Kim Ha-na, Jung Seung-joo / produced by WEMAD and Monster Union) is a thrilling cohabitation romance about Seon Woo-hyul—a half-human, half-vampire who fails to become fully human by just one day out of his 100-year chance—and Joo In-hae, a woman utterly lacking in warmth. The two accidentally start living together and begin a journey in search of true human warmth.

Ok Taec-yeon stars as Seon Woo-hyul, the half-vampire who missed becoming human by a single day. A curious early adopter obsessed with trying new inventions before anyone else, Woo-hyul is a trendsetter who even locked himself in a cave eating only mugwort and garlic in hopes of becoming human. The reason behind his desperate desire to become fully human adds intrigue and mystery to his character.

Following his strong performances in Blind, Secret Royal Inspector & Joy, and Vincenzo, Ok Taec-yeon takes on a fresh transformation as a vampire, raising expectations for another standout role.

Won Ji-an, who has built a solid acting career with impactful roles in If You Wish Upon Me, Juvenile Delinquency, and D.P., plays Joo In-hae, a temporary school health teacher and the owner of a guesthouse. Known for her cold, prickly demeanor—shaped by years of relentless part-time jobs due to financial struggles—In-hae eventually begins to change as she lives with Woo-hyul, rediscovering her empathy and humanity.

The dynamic pairing of Ok Taec-yeon’s multifaceted charm and Won Ji-an’s compelling presence brings fresh excitement to Heartbeat, a half-vampire × human cohabitation romance. The drama is set to premiere on KBS 2TV in the first half of this year and has officially begun full-scale production.
